"It is estimated that between 80,000 and 200,000 illegal and often unsafe abortions are performed in Poland each year. The number of illegal abortions in Poland stems not only from the restrictive anti-abortion law, but also from restricted access to contraception."

Please take a moment to look at the bottom of the statistics... I think it sums all concerns up. "DEFINITION: Note: Crime statistics are often better indicators of prevalence of law enforcement and willingness to report crime, than actual prevalence.

Natseva on Language > English speakers 46 days 2 hours 56 minutes 42 seconds ago

These stats are obviously based only upon first language or native speaker classifications, which would not include the nearly one billion people who have learned English as their second language, which includes at least 50% of the people of India, Philippines, Pakistan, Nigeria, the EU, plus about 20 million Spanish speaking natives in the United States, too. There are also millions of University graduates all over East Asia, in Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan even Vietnam and certainly in China who speak and write fluently in English. Many of these "Second language" speakers of English are in fact more adept in using English than many "Native Speakers" who are not very well educated. My information is based on my own teaching and living experience in various countries of Asia. |

When in the life of a democracy its people recognize a deterioration in the functioning of their government and the fabric of their society which threatens the future of that democracy and the freedoms of its sovereign citizens, they are obligated by their duty as citizens to join together and undertake to restore the foundations of their nation and its promise for their posterity. We are facing such a time in Somalia today.
We reaffirm that all Somali of whatever origin share equally with their fellow citizens the profound rights to life, liberty, individual pursuits, and justice granted by our Allah, and preserved by the sacrifices of patriots throughout our Nation's history. We must never forget that the rights and opportunities we enjoy carry with them in equal measure responsibilities and obligations. Our purpose in joining together to form this party is to initiate a process of Somali renewal under the Constitution of the Somali Republic, and to attract to this cause others who share our concerns. We intend to engage in the public debate in a manner that emphasizes the contrast between the promise of the future and the politics of the past. We shall contribute to the intellectual foundation of a new Somali political force which will build community, create sustainable economic growth, preserve our natural resources, remove the barriers of discrimination, unify our society, and restore integrity and decency to public life and governance. |

Dr. Mohamed Abdelwahab Abdelfattah has created many original works in new ares that combine music with science. As an example, he formed an orchestra consisting of deaf students and were later conducted them at a public concert at Cairo opera House in march 2005. In the U.S.A., he continues his research for the deaf that he initially started in Egypt, by writing a proposal which establishes a new pedagogic curriculum using a creative notation system based on color, shapes and patterns. The research was conducted at Horace Mann School in Boston during the 2007-2009 school years. As a result of this research, Boston Hilton Hotel expressed their gratitude by donating musical instruments for the deaf students of Horace Mann School. |

You don't die because of the scoliosis but because the complication of the disease. It put pressure to your vitals organs like lungs and heart, causing failure of this organs. This happend when the grade of the scoliosis is more than 40 degrees. There is a beautiful treatment without surgery for this cases. Clear Scoliosis Center can help with this. There is hope for this patients. |

(1) The numbers listed are not as I would have expected, then again I was interested in the prevalence rate of deaths that did not involve surgical correction.
(2) Yes, scoliosis can lead to an increased mortality rate.
Moderate Scoliosis (between 25 and 70 degrees). It is still not clear whether untreated moderate scoliosis causes significant health problems later on.
Severe Scoliosis (over 70 degrees). If the curvature exceeds 70 degrees, the severe twisting of the spine that occurs in structural scoliosis can cause the ribs to press against the lungs, restrict breathing, and reduce oxygen levels. The distortions may also cause dangerous changes in the heart.
Very Severe Scoliosis (Over 100 degrees). Eventually, if the curve reaches over 100 degrees, both the lungs and heart can be injured. Patients with this degree of severity are susceptible to lung infections and pneumonia. Curves greater than 100 degrees increase mortality rates, but this problem is very uncommon in America.
