Is it a Joke are you assuming that infants have absolutely no undrestanding of the mother's tongue?
Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Uruguay and even Spain have a ratio of close to 990 per 1000 people.
The ratio in Brasil is probably higher than the ratio in Paraguay or the two should be revised. |

Spanish speakers (per capita) is suspect of being strongly influenced by dogmatic believe and a "pro White" agenda.
The population figures that they have posted in their web edition are mostly from the 90's and are working in the asuption that education did not made inprovements in the ratio of official language speakers.
2. The numbers of spanish speakers in the USA 2010 census are believed to be of around 112 per 1000 people.
Out of date information is no better that no data at all. |

It is a bit strange that the U.S. isn't in the this list although it is number two in the totals list with 941,139. With a population in 2002 of about 290,000,000 this gives a per capita of about 3.25 per 1,000. |
