It is notable that most of the countries in this list have 'dodgy' civil rights records. They are not necessarily linked but the death penalty does not seem to go with having a peaceful, democratic society. |

I live in South Africa and we have the higher rate of piracy rate in our schools. 90% of our schools use pirated copies of MS Windows. 2% of schools use open source software such as Linux, Free BSD etc. But i doubt America is at the bottom...i strongly doubt and lightly disagree.

Chaps, please remember that's per average (10.1kgs boils down to 0,45 liters of coffee /day)- and as even here in Finland we do not give coffee to children, us adults, we need drink on behalf of them too! That's like 5 large coffee cups - 10-13 small english coffee cups /day.
And we need all that, just check how north we are! All heavy drinker countries are from same area, equally dark, gloomy and cold. |

I was looking at PKU (Phenelketonuria) statistics. Turkey and Ireland have the highest rates of PKU. Turkey's rate is about 1 in 2400 births (to the average 1 in 15,000 births): the highest in the world. Since undetected and poorly treated PKU leads to mental retardation, one would expect to see Turkey ranked more highly (it's not here) on the list of mental retardation by country. |

This list is incorrect, as it mix up working days and calendar days for the most countries!!
Generally, governmental employees get more vacation, but paid less than private employed employees.
Furthermore, the list seems to be very "union/collective agreement friendly".
It also reflects "voluntary" days offered by some companies, and not just "eligible" days provided by law. |

Amy, your husband sounds smart (for a male) I agree with him too. NO woman or child should be killed in any war and I think they should be protected too, even at the expense of more male lives if need be. |

Kathy, I agree with everything you said but even more important, I showed this to my husband's brother and my two brothers and they all agreed with everything you said. I did ask them if they did mean everything, including "far superior to her male counterparts " and each of them said yes, there is too much evidence to show it is a fact. In fact several of my male co workers said no way when in public, but many of them did tell me that they did that only to protect their image but that they too did realize women are superior to males overall. I think you are right, even most males know it. |

The more educated women are, the more women in every nation will show that we can leave the males in the dust in almost every area and thus prove beyond doubt, that it is the women who are the superior gender when given an the same chance as males have had for hundreds of years, and we did this in essentially one generation. |

Now that women are being given an equal chance in many nations, we are showing that we can leave males in the dust in almost every area. As a result, I have to agree with everything Kathy said below. She is 100% on target. |
