SK on Crime > Executions 967 days 14 hours 46 minutes 24 seconds ago It is notable that most of the countries in this list have 'dodgy' civil rights records. They are not necessarily linked but the death penalty does not seem to go with having a peaceful, democratic society.
Lulameke Mabunda on Crime > Software piracy rate 967 days 14 hours 49 minutes 23 seconds ago I live in South Africa and we have the higher rate of piracy rate in our schools. 90% of our schools use pirated copies of MS Windows. 2% of schools use open source software such as Linux, Free BSD etc. But i doubt America is at the bottom...i strongly doubt and lightly disagree.

MikkoS on Food > Coffee consumption 967 days 17 hours 3 minutes 54 seconds ago Chaps, please remember that's per average (10.1kgs boils down to 0,45 liters of coffee /day)- and as even here in Finland we do not give coffee to children, us adults, we need drink on behalf of them too! That's like 5 large coffee cups - 10-13 small english coffee cups /day.

And we need all that, just check how north we are! All heavy drinker countries are from same area, equally dark, gloomy and cold.

Lynn Miller on Nicaragua Profile > Government 968 days 2 hours 44 minutes 45 seconds ago Took your advice, did complete criminal background check and came up with zero. Must have your info wrong.
Michelle Candy on Bangladesh Profile 968 days 7 hours 13 minutes 15 seconds ago Dear Chelsea,
There should be water bed in Bangledsesh. They are fun for everyone! you can do pleanty with a waterbed there! Just be sure not to wear any jewlery ;);)
Chelsea on 968 days 7 hours 15 minutes 22 seconds ago Im doing a report on how bangledesh should have water beds...any suggestions???
Lynn Carmichael on Mortality > Severe mental retardation 968 days 8 hours 11 minutes 35 seconds ago I was looking at PKU (Phenelketonuria) statistics. Turkey and Ireland have the highest rates of PKU. Turkey's rate is about 1 in 2400 births (to the average 1 in 15,000 births): the highest in the world. Since undetected and poorly treated PKU leads to mental retardation, one would expect to see Turkey ranked more highly (it's not here) on the list of mental retardation by country.
Mick on Labor > Vacation > Minimum vacation time around the world > legally required 968 days 11 hours 56 minutes 2 seconds ago This list is incorrect, as it mix up working days and calendar days for the most countries!!
Generally, governmental employees get more vacation, but paid less than private employed employees.
Furthermore, the list seems to be very "union/collective agreement friendly".
It also reflects "voluntary" days offered by some companies, and not just "eligible" days provided by law.
Kathy on Military > Allies of World War I > Casualties as % of total personnel 968 days 12 hours 20 minutes 38 seconds ago Amy, your husband sounds smart (for a male) I agree with him too. NO woman or child should be killed in any war and I think they should be protected too, even at the expense of more male lives if need be.
Amy+Becker on People > Gender empowerment 968 days 18 hours 48 minutes 33 seconds ago Kathy, I agree with everything you said but even more important, I showed this to my husband's brother and my two brothers and they all agreed with everything you said. I did ask them if they did mean everything, including "far superior to her male counterparts " and each of them said yes, there is too much evidence to show it is a fact. In fact several of my male co workers said no way when in public, but many of them did tell me that they did that only to protect their image but that they too did realize women are superior to males overall. I think you are right, even most males know it.
Amy+Becker on Education > Women to men parity index, as ratio of literacy rates, aged 15-24 968 days 18 hours 49 minutes 59 seconds ago The more educated women are, the more women in every nation will show that we can leave the males in the dust in almost every area and thus prove beyond doubt, that it is the women who are the superior gender when given an the same chance as males have had for hundreds of years, and we did this in essentially one generation.
Amy+Becker on People > Attitude of women > Should have equal rights 968 days 19 hours 4 minutes 13 seconds ago Now that women are being given an equal chance in many nations, we are showing that we can leave males in the dust in almost every area. As a result, I have to agree with everything Kathy said below. She is 100% on target.
