Definitions

  • Number of Undernourished > Million: Number of undernourished people in 2001-2003. Figures are in millions.
  • Number of Undernourished > Million per million: Number of undernourished people in 2001-2003. Figures are in millions. Figures expressed per million population for the same year.
  • Stunted children under 5: Stunted children under the age of 5 years as a percentage of all children under the age of 5. Stunted children are too small for their age (by two standard deviations or more from the median height of the reference population at their age). Stunting is frequently associated with malnutrition.
