The breast cancer figures published on this site are not the incidence rates, but the mortality rates.
Please check at this site, which is the european observatory of cancer, that depends on the WHO http://eu-cancer.iarc.fr/cancer-13-breast.html,en.
The WHO statistics you cite come from the mortality databank.
Belgium has in fact the highest rate of breast cancer in Europe. The rates of incidence are about 100-140 for 100000, while the rates of mortality are about 25-30; thank you for your attention |

When searchin, I found that the U.S. has the same number of doctors per 1000 people, the same number of hospital beds, yet a higher mortality rate, teen pregnancies, double the obesity, and all kinds of other problems. So what's all the propaganda about socialized healthcare leading to longer waits to be seen, and not enough doctors? The U.S. needs to start treating it's citizens and paying the doctors out of the USUAL income taxes; not an EXTRA income tax. JUST LIKE CANADA PAYS DOCTORS OUT OF THE USUAL INCOME TAXES. There are NOT longer waits for surgeries. That's a lie. The only advantage that the U.S. may have for organ transplants, is that some Americans buy them on the black market. Other than that, cut the crap and do the right thing. |

Does anyone know where numbers can be collected on health centers per capita. It would be a good indicator of access to health services. |
