Charles Prescot (USA) 26th January 2007	the postal systems world-wide are important, if not even critical, networks for business and social relationships. In fact, most postal systems recognize that their future depends on their connecting businesses and consumers and citizens. However, it is with few exceptions impossible to find statistics that show how important this communications medium is. Eg., how much is spent on business to business or business to consumer advertising mail, or how many pieces of mail (social or business) are received (posted) each year in any country. This it seems to me is an important indicator of country wealth and and commerce. And yet it is impossible to find this data outside of a very few countries (US, UK, Germany).
