It's true Serbia and Montenegro should be split into two separate countries. Kosovo should be there as well. It's alright to have Yugoslavia and USSR as its useful for historians looking at comparative data across time. |

The side by side comparison is a very interesting feature, but extremely user unfriendly. (By the way I would like it to compare not just 2, but at least up to 5, preferably 10 countries ;-)
It should just ask to fill in the 2 (or 5 or 10) countries, and then wait till you click a 'go' button.
In it's current form it is basically unworkable: I could (with difficulty) compare Belgian with France regarding Health, but when I then tried to instead compare France vs. Spain it didn't work out. Every time I selected one country at the bottom, the application immediately started to recalculate Belgium vs. that country, instead of waiting till I had selected the second country. I tried entering the country names in the left as well as in the right column, but it just doesn't work! |

Yugoslavia isn't a country anymore. It's been divided in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia & Hercegovina and Macedonia. Seriously, I've been to both Montenegro and Croatia so I know. Also, why are there states like Montserrat, Jersey and Puerto Rico.

While the United States of America does have several trillion dollars of debts and/or trade deficits, that does not mean we aren't a rich country. In terms of annual GDP we still take the cake, although China may claim that title in a decade or so. Whether or not our real GDP has anything to do with government spending is debateable, although our trade agreements certainly do. Besides that, the West Bank in Palestine is the largest region of the not-as-yet sovreign Palestinian state and is ruled over by a separate authority than in Gaza, making it arguable to include them as separate states at this time. |

As everyone knows, the sovereignty of Hongkong and Macau had been returned to China by British and Portugal in the year of 1997 and 1999 respectively.
