Samoan people are strong believers in God period. No matter where you would find a Samoan you would come to realise their beliefs firmly rooted in Christianity. Religion plays a huge part in Samoans becuase religion, like the culture, governs peoples daily lives from dawn till dusk. Religion brings stability in the villages and although it is a democracy Samoa`s government opens its sessions with the acknowledgement of God`s guidance and presence by His Holy Spirit.....how many naitons do that?
Religion in Samoa is important its what keeps Samoa at peace. |

Why are the residents of American Samoa US nationals instead of US citizens? I know they residents have free entry to the Mainland US, but are not allowed to vote, even when residing on the Mainland. Can the territorial government change its status to have US citizenship bestowed on American Samoa residents? |
