Very interesting statistics and discussions.
I feel that not enough attention is paid to corruption and black-market money. I know with a great deal of certainty somewhere between 10% and 20% of Austrian GDP is corruption/black, so this money is in circulation but not properly traced/traceable and thus doesn't properly flow into national statistics. The money often (but not exclusively) goes into the hands of workers from east European countries who then, on an official $9000/annum salary, buy a brand new $45.000 BMW with cash. This actually happens a *lot*. |
