Hello everybody!
I'm from Belarus. There are a lot of bat stereotypes about my country (for example, about authoritation etc.). If you want I can get you REAL information about Belarus. If you have any questions, you can write me: belaruszm@gmail.com |

Hi, I have a very old photo of my grandparents with a short message on the back in Russian or Belarusian that I cannot read. It would mean so much to me if someone could translate it into English for me?
Thanks
Nicole

To any Belarusians out there,
Hello, I would like to ask you about the honest perception of most citizens of Belarus of Iran and Iranians. I have heard and read that cooperation between our countries in many aspects from economy to even military is quite good and overall political relations are positive. Main question, how do most Belarusians feel and view both Iran as a country and how they feel/view Iranians.
regards,
M |

At the moment Belarus has complicated relations with all of its neighbours. In 2005 Belarus-Polish relations were quite hostile, as Belarusian government is interfering in the dealings of 300,000-strong Polish ethnic minority in Belarus. In August 2005 Poland has formed a block of 4 neighbouring countries, including Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine to support democracy in autocratic Belarus.
Belarus-Russian relations look amiable and friendly on the surface. Belarus and Russia have embarked on 're-integration' programme in 1995. Citizens of both countries have a right to work and live freely in the two nations, there is no border controls on the border between Belarus and Russia. Belarus always supported Russia in Moscow's rows with NATO and the US.
However, relations between Moscow and Minsk are uneasy. Russia subsidises Belarus with cheap energy and thus buys some diplomatic support. However, Belarus government is often unfriendly against Russia and wants to keep much tighter control over politics and economy than Russia does. |

Friendly especially with Russia and Ukraine. Poland, Lithuania and Latvia form representative of the USA and NATO which are well known for the standards of "democracy" (like in Iraq, Iran etc.) The level of life and democracy in Belarus is higher than in Russia and Ukraine. This my opinion, opinion of the citizen of the Republic of Belarus. I live here and know more than president of the USA about economical, political and social situtation in Belarus. |

The relations with Russia are still great. But I cant say that we have the same situation with Ukraine since comrade Juschenko (I dont know how to write his surname in English) became a president in Ukraine. |
