My eyes swelled up when i found out that most privelaged of the population see their future in western countries. Teenagers and kids attending all the good schools in Ethiopia (Sandford International School, International Community School) have been so westernised that some of them find it difficult to pronounce Amharic words (the most widley spoke Ethiopian language) when they have been living in Ethiopia their whole lives and have Ethiopian parents. I was almoast on that path myself, the typical sterotype actually - i am a Sandford student in Ethiopia and i see my future in Ethiopia , i intend on dedicating my life to helping the country that i grew up in which is also amongst the poorest of the poorest countries in the world.
