Hi to all of the friends of the Czech Republic!
My name is Tanja, I am Czech (was born and raised in Prague) and have been living in the US for about 10 years. I would like to introduce you my new blog called the Czechmate diary which I created specifically for Czechs/Slovaks/ Czech-Americans living in the US ( or anyone who is interested in our culture). Check it out! The blog is bilingual and is divided into various interesting categories such as “Czech contact in the US”, "Czech activities in the US and abroad", "Czech news", famous "Czech-Americans", "travel", "recipes", "my stories"....something for everyone.
The website address is: www.czechmatediary.com
Thanks!

I WOULD LIKE TO FIND INFORMATION REGARDING MY FATHER'S BIRTH PLACE IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC. HE LEFT WITH HIS MOTHER'BROTHER AND SISTER IN 1919 AT THE AGE OF 7 YEARS OF AGE. HIS FATHER VLACAV MRSTIK WAS IN THE CZECH ARMY THAT WAS SENT TO THE UNITED STATES TO FIGHT IN THE SPANISH AMERICAN WAR PRIOR TO THEM COMING TO AMERICA. THE ELLIS
ISLAND REGISTER SHOWS THEM COMING FROM THE TOWN OF VLASENICE FROM THE BOHEMIAN COUNTRY SIDE. HOW WOULD ONE FIND WHICH TOWN THEY WERE FROM WHEN THERE AREMORE THAN ONE TOWN WITH THAT NAME? |

Czech Republic has the largest open stadium in the world - it can hold 200,000 persons! And its people are the biggest beer-drinkers. So, basically, they drink beer and watch soccer(football) games all the time. What a life! |

to Evonne: Fair trade started to emerge in recent years. But eventhough the cognisance increased quite a bit, it is definitely still marginal. If you still need help, dont hesitate to contact some of Czech environmental organisations or so, I'm sure they'll help you. |

I'm doing a project about the Czech Republic.
I need some information about changes in the external environment that also may present threats to firms. Some examples of such threats include:
Shifts in consumer tastes away from the firms’ products
Emergence of substitute products
New regulations
Increased trade barriers |
