Your history of the Gaza strip omits its incorportion into an independent Arab state in 1947 and the Arab (1948)war of rejection of the two-states compromise created by the United Nations that year. It also omits the fact that the Palestinain refugees are the product of the Arab world's rejection of two states for two people and omits the subsequent 18 years of occupation of the Gaza Strip by Egypt with no Palestinan Arab autonomy emerging (to the objection of nobody including the Arab residents there). Your accounting of events is dishonestly truncated , not unlike most news reporting and commentary in theses post 1973 oil embargo days. With much anger and regret, James Price jimprice@erols.com |

This appears to be another case of American intervention going bad. This will give the terrorist groups a reason to celebrate and strengthen their numbers. This timing is bad. |

instead of bordering off the gaza strip se should have found a way to incorporate arabs more into the government. as it is right now the arab population is horribly underrepresented for a minority of one fifth the population |
