I believe that the issue of Haiti lies in its people's philosophy. They have been taught to endure pain and suffering as virtuous via their theo-culture. I see a similar dilema in the Philippines.

We need your help!!
The babies pictured above are in danger of loosing the only home they have ever known. Please don’t let that happen; not when they have come so far. The time has I’m reaching out to you because you have the power to make a difference. I would like for you to help this organization. Our name is “OASIS for Children, Inc.” OASIS is an acronym for Our Attempt at Saving Innocent Souls. It’s an orphanage that has been opened to save the innocent children that are dying in Haiti everyday.
Donations have plummeted in the last 18 months, which has left us in a desperate financial situation. I don’t need to spend time telling you about how horrible and desperate the situation is in Haiti. There is several ways you can help, not just by making a donation. You can help get the word out about this important work. The more people that knows about us; the more children’s lives we can save. It is that simple. I am not too proud to beg you for help to keep the doors of OASIS opened and to help me save more babies. We, unlike most of the world have not given up on Haiti. We still have hope. Please have hope with us. I feel this project is important enough for every newspaper, magazine, radio stations, business, etc. to want to help. Especially Haitian owned businesses. We are always saying “proud to be Haitian” let us begin to show how proud we are. Let’s show how proud we are to be Haitian by doing something, instead of rendering lip service.
Call me for an interview and help spread the word about this great labor of love. Doing just that would help out so much. We are a non-profit organization so all donations are tax-deductible and go towards providing a true “Oasis” to a child in the midst of the desert of despair. I would be more than happy to send you some more information. I can also send you copies of other newspapers that have covered come for us to step up to the plate. We can’t continue to wait for other people to save us; we need to do our part. To ignore is so easy. Don’t take the easy way; it may cost a child’s life. Remember, we don’t have much time. Do it now. Please!
