This is a outrage against humanity. We as people, who have the power to do something about this, should be ashame of ourselve. we all know if we or someone we knew was in this horrific situation, we would be crying out for help. considering we're not we ignore the existing situation. these are innocent victims who need are help and until we do some to chage this matter, it will continue to come close to our homes and the people we love.people will continue to become victims of injustice and die because of our greed. |

Arun 9th December 2009 |
There are millions of cases even not reported.95per cent of cases are being wiped out using political and through corruption in law enforcement department itself.
The country’s low literacy rate and women's freedom should also consider before making any justification in this regard. |

prabal,
u asked y cant d police stop d crime.. actually d polimemen r doin their best yet there r lots of corruptions..
d second reason is because d total population in india, for example, is big, but the number of policemen are way too little!!!
and the reason why no many police officers is because the pay is little!! and its not easy to become a policeman!!!!!
jenn,
the murder rates are high because, people now r lack of moral education, poor and not many job oppurtunity!!! |

Whether Indian police registers crime or not is debatable, but we must appreciate India's low rape and other crime rate ,given to the fact the multicultural structure and vastness of the country. Moreover , doubts can be raised about the police of any country depending upon perception.
This doubt should however, be dismissed as as personal belief |

I am sceptical of the figures as I know the police in India don't register most crimes. I would expect the figures for crime to be much higher. |
