Does anyone know the definition of poverty in the case of a country like Iran.
If it based on the price of products on the global market and the average income of an Iranian, there is a problem. The Iranian government substantially subsidizes the "essential needs" of citizens (everything from gas, to bread and meat).
Therefore, the true poverty level could be much lower than that documented. |
