Go to japan. See how they behave there. Theyre DISCIPLINED. Discipline is instilled from early childhood. They work together as one. Theyre an amazing race and we could learn a lot from them. Im white Australian......before u assume im japanese. |

@Collin
WRONG. Because,UK's population is most definitely NOT higher than the japan.japan has about 2× UK's population.
BUT UK crime rate is higher than Japan.

A large amount of unreported crime also contributes to a low crime rate in Japan. A Huge amount of Japanese officials looking the other way when something happens also contributes. Over the 6 years I lived in Japan I actually knew 4 rape victims. My wife is Japanese and knows a few too.
One was by her ex-husband. The police said it was her fault because she let him into her home and led him on.
2 of the girls never reported being raped due to shame and the fact that they didnt think the police would do anything anyway (usual Japanese thinking). The last one is a kicker... The rape was reported the next day. The police picked up the rapist who claimed that she asked him to rape her as a game during consetual sex. Even though there were bruises on her biceps and around her neck, the case was dropped due to lack of evidence. These are just examples of one type of crime, I could go one but you get the point. Won't even get into Yakuza free crime. |

the rape percentage is alot higher than 0.1% women fail to report because the police dont really do anything, in japan women are most viewed differently. |

Actually, it has nothing to do with Japan's gun laws. Japan's non-gun crimes are also multitudes lower than that of the United States. Japan's prison crime rate also pales in comparison to America's prison crime rate (where guns don't exist either). Japan's low crime rate is due to their unique "group" based society. |

It there gun laws, all Japanese citizens are restricted from owning weapons of any kind, including swords. Unless you are a licensed hunter, which is rare, and they are only permitted shotguns. |

Why is it that the United States has more crime than Japan even though Japan probably has a higher population? |
