Moldova has a Communist president, and the Communist-dominated Parliament recently drafted a broad law against "extremism" which severely curtails the right to free speech and expression. And in 2004, Communists performed a terrorist attack against a news reporter who was investigating government abuses. The Communists rode to power, as they usually do, by taking advantage of economic misery of the Moldovian people; but once in power, they often transform the country into a dictatorship. I'm afraid this could be happening in Moldova. |
