One of Mali's most crushing problems is that there are too few girls in school. Studies have proven that education raises not only future wages, but also raises standard of living.
School Girls Unite wants the US to focus more on achieving the 2005 Millenium Development Goals, especially the goals of gender equity in the classroom and universal education.

I am doing some research on Mali. I have to do a country profile and I chose Mali beacause it interested me that their people are usually working by the age of ten and the average school expectancy is only two years. If there is any more interesting information you can send me, please do so at chrystie_smith05@hotmail.com
