Malaysia is racist country, which favours the malays in all aspects. Its comparable to the apartheid system in South Africa before. Even worse, as there is laws in constitution clearly discriminating the minorities. Ethnic cleansing is being practiced by they majority in a subtle and organized manner.

The administrative capital of Malaysia is now Putrajaya. This is being developed (having just returned from Malaysia, Putrajaya has certainly grown since I was last there when it had just been declared a Federal Territory and the residence of the Prime Minister (then Dr Mahathir), the national mosque and the administrative building, bridges over the lake and not much else were built. It is located south of Kuala Lumpur, between KL and the airport (KLIA). KL will remain as the commercial heart of the country.

I love malaysia. I love the food here. I love the friendly people here. Among the malays, we have the chinese, the indians and many more. If we can live in harmony and share what the God has given us, why should we argue who is the best and who is better than the rest. with food in our plates and money in our pocket, we should be grateful for what we have.We should be contented and happy with the life we had. Malaysia is a country with lots of sun and shine. I am happy we have a safe place to live, not having any earthquake and bursting of the valcanoes. What else can we ask for more.Makan sama sama, hidup sama sama dan gembira sama sama. Thank you to the God wherever you are.

"The country is a federal parliamentary republic where despite democratic structures there is no fair chance for the opposition."

Oh no ! Malaysia is not a republic , infact she is a Constitutional Monarcy ( The only country where the king is elected ) and with a Parliamentary system ( The MP are elected on a free election for every 5 yrs) There are more political Parties in Malaysia then the SO-CALLED western Democracy. Once TIME magazine reported that Malaysia is the most peaceful country on earth .

I've lived here for 5 years - this country is going to the dogs. Did you know that the ethnic Malays can buy a house for 5-10% less than everyone else? Everything in this country is built on the backs of the Chinese & Indians who have been here for generations - they get none of the credit or the perks. Everything is for the Malays. Go to a gov office and everyone there is a Malay. The whole place is going to be Indonesia at the rate they are bringing in the Indonesian labor. They deserve it, the Indonesians are treated like dirt. You can get a maid here for less than 100 USD a month. They cook, clean, wipe the kids nose/ass, wash the car.. everything from sunrise to sunset with no days off. Maids often 'run away' - would you blame them ? As far as the races all getting along here - sure on the surface everything is great - but as soon as you question the "Malay Rights" you get in trouble. It's in their constitution that you cannot even write something that questions the Malay rights.

My advice, don't move here, don't do business here - visit yes. the food is great, hotels are cheap (whores operating out of just about all of them, even the 5 stars - they are called fitness centers) and plentiful.

If you open a business in Malaysia you'll need to have majority ownership be Malaysian. If you want to bid on any government contracts you'll need to hire an office full of Malays, they'll take tea breaks half the day and be praying the rest..

but the food is good ;)

Malaysia is not a republic. It is a constitutional monarchy.

Christianity is also a major religion. Confucianism is not a religion. Taoism is, which you forgot. And also various other animistic beliefs.

Malaysia was originally settled by the Malays but under the British came immigrants from China and India around the 19th century. Now Malaysians live in harmony side by side different cultures and religions although there were some misunderstanding in the 60's.
