Norway is the 2nd greatest nation on earth! :D
Denmark is first ;)

I'm basing this on everything from natural beauty, to architectural beauty, history, culture, quality of life / lifestyle, language, location, weather (sort of), etc.
Rock on! Scandinavia!!!

For additional statistics concerning Norway, go to www.odin.no This is the Norwegian Government's official site and is rather comprehensive (most articles are translated into English).

TnCra is absolutely right. Don't get me wrong, I live in the US, and I do enjoy living here (Probably because I've never lived elsewhere) but even I am aware of the overzealous pride of many patriotic citizens. It's one of those things that really can't be helped. A lot of places can be separated by a lot of categories. In truth, no country is really 'the best', we're all living on the same planet, and as much as this sounds like some 'hippie' (even if it's not politically correct) statement: There's really no reason why the countries of the world can't band together and use their strengths to reinforce others weakness. The only matter that keeps this from reality is pride. A refusal to help someone because of a personal dispute. I've no real references to support the last statement, but if we all think about it, and put our pride aside for just a moment, we can see the benefit of 'help and be helped'

John Henry, I'm not sure what you mean by "Little town religions", but most people are members of the state church.
Joe, Norway has been a constitutional monarchy since the Viking Kings ;) (Kind of like England, the royalty has no real power, except legal immunity)

Most Americans think we are #1 in everything positive. Norway is an example of a nation far ahead of us in a number of quality of life issues.
