Panama does not have a Death Penalty nor has anyone been executed as sentencing by a court of law. In fact, in the 20th Century Panama never had a Death Penalty or Execution by any means. Please verify this information.

Unfortunately , george is absolutely right.
Home invasions/robberies have become the norm and the police is doing nothing about it.
Being a foreigner, you are targeted.
I have been victim to this when a dozen guys came into our home and beat us up for a few bucks. This has scared us for life. If we had to do it again, we would not have moved here..

Property crime in Panama is out of this world. Security bars, walled compounds and wrought iron doors and gates are the norm in Panama. Robbers and thieves are rampant because the police is practically powerless to stop them.
