The Saudi Arabians boasts themselves to be the pioneers of Islam. They are proud of Islam and Holy Prophet having taken birth on the Arabian soil. But they follow Islam more in breach than in principle. They still continue remain ignorant as before, not alive to the realities of today, and still living in the 7th century, and in darkness. They must rise up to the occasion and set a shining example to other Muslim countries not only in Religion but also in Science and Technology. |

Saudi Arabia has the lowest rate of rapes per capita and is ranked among the countries with lowest cases of rape. In addition, it is also one of countries with lowest murder cases. In the muslim world, the perception is that strict enforcement of Islamic punishments is the reason for such a low crime rate. However, is there any other possible explanation since muslims often cite enforcement of capital punishments and prevalence of Islamic law as a governing constitution (which i believe has many negative effects and should be avoided) as a way to curb down crime? |

Yes, crime is very low. When I came to US then returned to Saudia, It was of a great surprise to me to see kids roaming the streets of Makkah with their bycicles at 2 a.m. (in Ramadan Vacation). In some Souks (Markets) Shopkeepers leave their shopes to pray, not closing doors but only covering their merchandises with garments. |
