Are you sure that what you define as deaths from cancer is really the incidence or occurrence of cancer per 100000 population. When I checked your reference although I can get your values for the year 2000,the definition is different.

You are wrong about sanitation. Homeless people in America are homeless by choice. And that's a HUGE difference! They dont want the normal life.. Don't believe me? Come to NYC on christmas and see for yourself..

I agree. How can there be 100% of people in this country with access to sanitation when the homeless population is so high?

Sorry, scott, it's false that EVERY homeless person in America is homeless by choice. Your point is valid about those that choose not have a "normal" life... but that further reinforces the sad situation. If we can't educate people about the importance of cleanliness and santiation and we don't provide people an adequate opportunity to seek it out, then we've failed.

Notice how NationMaster doesn't list the U.S. infant mortality rate. Do a search for infant mortality rates, and the U.S. also isn't on that list. (it's about 6.4 per 1,000)

I think this is a great website and more people should be intrested in the issues across the globe and apply themselves to learnbg the variables that shorten the life expectancy in less fourtunate countries.
