Well at least the detached observer made sense, the rest of you are living in your own little world, honestly. I served in the Marines myself, have the respect in the world for my fellow military personnel, but at the same time, let me put this nicely, wake up and look at the bigger picture. Just because we have a bigger stick doesn't mean we can always get what we want, or that we're better than other countries.
Soft power is the name of the game now with international dealings, and who is creeping up on us, while we borrow boat loads of money from them, while they get better oil deals in Iraq and Afghanistan? Yep, that's right, China. So American blood might be spilt in the name of "freedom", but honestly, and no offense, you wake up an realize we're all just pawns in a large chess match. Yes, there's honor, duty, and so on, of course, no doubt about that, but do yourself a favor, study a little history, travel outside of America for a little while, and expand your mind, you'd be surprised that we aren't always "right". |

Seriously, the US needs to quit focusing on its military and needs to start focusing on education and science.
We may have to colonize other planets soon, I mean, we will! We're running out of land here on Earth, at a rapid pace.
Fighting other countries is just fighting over something that will one day run out anyway, its quite stupid in my opinion. |

The U.S.A is a country of it's people. Of course this means that even the foolish get a voice but there is also good people who DO actually help and are in fact educated about the subject. I do not agree with (i despise in fact) the war in Iraq but seriously, to keep saying that you hate the U.S.A while doing nothing about it is even worse then helping whatever problems they have created. But to say the country is perfect is a whole other story. Do not be so quick to point the finger or praise war. |

When will people like Unknown Entity realise that if the U.S and China went to war Russia would back China. Just remember Russia has more nuclear weapons than America. And if required the U.S could pull about 250m men and women into the military to help fight the war where as Russia can get about 400m and China can forward 729m. Lets not forget Japan who hate your guts when you nuked them will probably join and then the American navy is stressed as it fights three seperate countries at once. There just lucky to have 12 airship carriers to Russia's 2, Japan's 2 and China's 1. Then the only way left to resolve it is to start throwing hydrogen bombs and other nuclear devices which in the end would be pointless because three of the worlds leading powers and Japan would be annialated. And afterwards India would lead in military strength with Britain second, France third, Germany fourth and Brazil in fifth. If you all want to nuke each other then go for it just leave the countries who want no part out of it. Let them live their lifes you settle your own problems even if it doe result to a cowardly mass nuclear strike. And even after this long argument there probably won't be a war of such scale but the world leaders have already realised that they would be biting off more than they could chew and it would be pointless and that they stand to gain nothing by joining in. So Unknown Entity think about that before you begin boasting America's military superiority, even if it has the most advanced militayr technology. And always remember that nothing last's forever, not even America. |

You really need to study history and do some traveling. Every great civilization in history has fallen or regressed. Western civilization will decline just as it has in the past. Political correctness will certainly play a major role in the next time it happens. If you take my advice and become more educated on the subject, you will discover why the last time it happened the period to follow was called the dark ages. Moreover, if you travel to more places you might just find out how much of the world is still savage. Now if you want to live like that, you can certainly move to one of those other places. You won't have to worry about how evil the USA and western civilization is if you do so. You will be too busy trying to survive to worry about such matters. Humm, ever wonder why there is not a PETA chapter in every country.
I do agree with you about war and peace though. Too much peace is not good it breeds apathy and softness which is exactly what has happened to western civilization. However that may change if enough uneducated idiots continue to spout off as you have here. |

Dear Jim. you can be really proud of the US Military in terms of power, volume and budget. But, you should take into account that every US president brings a war to the world. Do you have any ideas how many lifes were taken including US soldiers because of war in Iraq. Sooner or later, US will lose it dominancy, i think China will take over US. Instead of spending money overseas on some stupid wars, they ("chief-in-commander" Bush Jr.) could spend those money on something else, strugling poverty and etc. Unfortunately, he went the other way. I appreciate & thank the veterans for sacricing for us & our freedom. Being away from their families.They are very brave and I honor them.
I say it is time and has been time for them to come home,gradually,within a couple months or before.
I know they chose to do so. there was wars in Iraq back in Chris't time. There will still be wars among the people after we leave there. So God please let them get out of there.

This is a video of several US soldiers throwing rocks and laughing at a poor dog with a very severe spinal deformity, who was obviously suffering even before they started abusing him.
Hopefully someone will recognize these cowardly and cruel individuals so they can be reported for animal cruelty.

But no matter what, Yankees are very aggressive and it started by killing nearly all the native Indians, who are happily living in reservations/ concentration camps.
