nothing here is very good...i need to know ''How was the Avro Arrow a symbol of Canadian power during the Cold War?''

I find the history of the Avro Arrow facinating. I still feel that the cancellation of the program was an enormous mistake. Not only from the fact that the Avro Arrow was a superior plane for its time but also that the aeronautic industry in Canada was devastated to the point it never really recovered. The Americans, as usual, intimidated the Canadian government into adopting their systems and ideaology, much of which was useless and erroneous, respectively. Shame on the Conservative Government to allowing this Avro Arrow program to be scrapped, which in my opinion, was only through their own igrorance and weakness.
On another point, I find it difficult to locate good models of the Avro Arrow. Since it is a major Canadian icon I would have thought that it would be much easier to locate such items, especially in Canada.
