What seems to slip the grasp of such discussion is that financier is to the money profession what attorney is to the legal profession. Financier is a term that is not as common as it was a century ago, when the equivalent of big time corporate litigators and judges who try to litigate from the bench, were big time investment managers and federal tax/accounting officials who tried to make the rules as they go. Other types of financiers include "bankers", trust administrators, "mortgage brokers", etc. |
