Mr Anupam Paul (Kolkata) 23rd August 2008 |
All over the world there is process of development at the cost of eviction of local people and forests and of course destroying the environment. It is very difficult for the indigenous people to keep their culture intact.Their number is decreasing. Is it necessary to DEVELOP them or to impose so called civilized culture to them.Let them live in the brother hood of forest. It is very foolish to consider their culture, education, values, traditional medicine and traditional knowledge as inferior.During Tsunami in 2006 Dec in the Bay Of Bengal no indigenous people of Andaman and Nicobar Island died as their sixth sense is far better than civilized man
I want to know how the development process has destroyed the livelihood of Brazilian indigenous people. |
