Due to a hand injury in 1973 my right index finger had to be surgically amputated in August 1975 and has been stored in formaldehyde. It is in a baby food jar and sealed with parawax. During the 2-1/2 years from injury to amputation I had several surgeries including a tendon transplanted from my right foot and attached to a point in my wrist. In the jar is the distal and intermediate phalange.
