I think the decision to release Megrahi was wrong. It sends the wrong message to the terrorist factions and also a different message to the victims families but just as wrong. Whatever became of "an eye for an eye..."? |

It is stated above that the head of state of Scotland is Queen Elizabeth II. Indeed, the person we know with that title is head of state of Scotland but has the title Queen Elizabeth I of Scotland. The famous English Queen Elizabeth I was never queen of Scotland and indeed was succeded to the English throne by James VI of Scotland who became James I of England.
I guess this is too pedantic to result in a correction but certainly there have been objections in the Scottish parliament to references to Queen Elizabith II of Scotland! |
