I should have thought that what you mention above are just tangentially related episodes. The actual reasons for the misfortune of Spain ever since 1492 had being the full control of schools and universities, historian books etc.
all under the hands of a criminal religion i.e. the Catholic Church of Rome, such a thing doesn't happen in any Western European country, not even in Italy. |
