Gustavus Adolphus (Switzerland) 2nd June 2006 |
Never listen to what they tell you in Social Studies class. The American revolution was basically a tax revolt, where many merchants and other wealthy, powerful persons (such as plantation owners) were to cheap to lose money to British taxes, and convinced the ignorant, limited-IQ American public to rise up in revolt. Their cheapness was at least the major cause of the war. |
