It would also be interesting to compare fatality rates relative to total miles driven in a country. If few people drive, then obviously you'll have a low fatality rate, but that doesn't mean that the drivers are any better.

Sixteen is too young of an age to start driving. Think it could be our kids out on the road the day some teenage boy or girl decide to act stupid and hit us and our child. We could be seriously damaged.

This site only has stats on 17 countries worldwide!! Excluding the UK??? What's going on? Also, some of the stats that Ian Graham is quoting are 12 years out of date.
The WHO estimates that China had 250,000 deaths in it's most recent data-year. The WHO includes people who die as a result of the traffic accident; China only include those who die within 24 hours, so their figures are lower.
