Or that Australia would get the message. In the UK last year we had 48 deaths where a firearm was responsible. 12 of those deaths were caused by one man, plus himself. So taking those away left 35 out of a population of 60 million. One shooting for each one and three quarter million of us. Almost all of the 35 murders were committed by drug dealers over turf.

We still have guns in Australia, mostly in the hands of those who need them and some in the hands of criminals but our gun murder rate is less than 25% of that in the United States. You'd think they'd get the message!
