Kathy, although I do not think suicide alone shows your conclusion (that males are actually the weaker sex) I do think that it along with so many other factors such as the high crime rate in which males are the main predators does show your conclusion as being accurate. It does seem that if males are not killing others, they do take their own life far more often than do females.

When we check the gender of those who take their own life, we will find that males do so several times the rate women do at all ages. In some places, at least 10 males do so for each woman that does so I think it would be clear that males are the weaker gender and since there are so many other areas males fall short in, women are actually the superior gender
