This is showing what percentage of the economy is consumed by the poorest 10%. So in the US, the poorest 10% consume 1.8% of the yearly economy (i.e) of all the money made in a year, the poorest 10% made 1.8% of it. |

I dont understand how this is being measured. The poorest 10% of the population is (eg) 2.5% ??
This does not make any sense to me.
If someone could explain it would be greatly appreciated. |
