Japan 4.2 million?? How long ago was that? Japan received 9.44 million tourists in 2010. This ranking needs to be updated. Way too old.

Your effort is apprecitive. However, many countries are missing in the data. I did not find Nepal and Vietnam (among many others). Could you please update this. Nepal has almsot half a million tourists (as per 2010 data) and Vietnam welcomed 5 millionth tourist just on 24th December 2010. Please update the list, and if possible, do not miss any country (out of 208) in the world. Your site will be referred by millions of scholars all over the world. I saw many comments in the past, but no improvement!! If so, why should we bother to put our comments? Please also indicate data as "AS OF.... eg. December 2010" instead of "latest". Thanks, |

Well, I think your statistic on this topic is old since this year Croatia had over 9 million tourists. And also it doesn't use the same measurement for every country since in Hungary for example every one who passes their border is automatically considered tourist no matter if he really is one and no matter how much time he spends there. |

your figures on Portugal are incorrect.
There are about 10 million tourists coming in on that year (effective tourists, because if you count cross border Spanish, as i think you do for other countries, the number is double), so please update. |
