ummm.... why can you tell how geothermal energy is made useable, and how much is used yearly in the U.S. and what are the barriers of preventing the U.S.to using geothermal energy then explain why experts descibe the rate of fossil fuels as unsustainadle. plzzzzzzzzz tell me this i need to know for school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

i read that as of septemeber 15th 2011 canada uses the the technology used for geothermal energy but doesn't actually use geothermal energy it's self. i am confused at what the amount stands for

The graph represents the annual utilization of geothermal power from direct-use sources in GWh/yr as of 2000.
It says that in the definition on the top & bottom.

Yes, but Iceland is a very small country, and this is total Gigawatt hours per year, not per capita. It's amazing that they're third.
