13th September 2008 		The USA imported 10.4 million bpd and consumes about 20.4 million barrels per day. Last source I checked explained the USA produces 5.12 million barrels per day of which it exports 1.87 millions per day. Who supplies the deficit? This deficit amounts to 6.75 million barrels per day that are short of the total consumption?
