I can't see what the unit of pork consumption or production is. Pounds or kilograms?

If you compare this consumption ranking with National IQ values(can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IQ_and_Global_Inequality), you will immediately see the connection between pork consumption and human intelligence.
I invite you to look at those countries and people that don't eat pork......I think you get what I mean |

Are we sure this is consumption rather than production? We know that Denmark, for example, exports large quantities of bacon. |

Denmark comes in at number 1 because it is the undisputed world capital of bacon. Many Danes eat it every day for breakfast and also eat a lot of gammon steaks for dinner. Spain consumes a very large amount of cured meats, especially hams and sausages (chorizo, pork sausage). I know because I live in Spain. I also formerly lived in Hong Kong for 2 years, where the barbecued pork, known as char siu, is most people's favourite meal and their equivalent of fast food. |
