Hi Lucy, it says it at the top. Number of people who die each year from heart disease by country. Pity we can't see more countries. There are countries and regions of China where heart disease is rarely seen. The common denominator seems to be plant based diets lower the death rate markedly. How much meat do they eat in Japan? Whatever they are doing, they are doing something right. The movie, "Forks over Knives" in cinemas explores the heart disease thing and have a look at some of these regions. The movie is shocking in some ways - over half a million people die every year in the US form a preventable condition - but has a clear message of hope. Google: Dr Esselstyn or Forks over Knives

We just need to start changing our diet and paying attention to what is really causing this, high fructose corn syrup, fried foods, hydroginated oils, high fat diet, sugar, tons of simple carbs, lack of exercise, etc.

If already a problem, supplementing with 6,000mg or more of Vitamin C with 6,000mg of Lysine with 1,500 mg of Proline will really help to clear out blockages. BUT still need to change our diet - not start smoking pot!!!

take a look at http://www.vitamincfoundation.org
This really works.

You should put pie charts on here about the different causes of heart disease.
