How about England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland? |

English is NOT an official language of the United States... this is inaccurate. |

Ethnologue as the source of this information is highly inaccurate. Specifically in Israel:
1. English is NOT a national language. The only official languages are Hebrew and Arabic.
2. There MAY be 100k native English speaker. Living in Israel it feels like more but that's subjective.
3. The number of people who know English as a second language cannot be only 100k. Considering English is taught in school since 4th grade on through high school, and is a requirement when going to any higher education, the number is ridiculous.
Unfortunately I don't have any official source to support my data, but Ethnologue don't specify one either so it's their word against mine.

English is not the "national" language in Canada. It is an official language of Canada in addition to French and both languages have the same status. |

I do not understand. The statistics say that one 13,000 people in Barbados speak English(of a population of about 270,000. Yet English is the only language listed there. What do the others speak? |
