FACTOID # 6: The five countries with the highest coffee consumption are also the five countries whose citizens trust one another the most. Coincidence? Probably.

That's true Fraser. Australia is a multicultural society and in Sydney, unless you live in the affluent suburbs to the north or in relatively obscure rural areas you're most certainly going to interact with a multitude of immigrants from a variety of nations in everyday life.

To be racist would make you incredibly anti-social, and racism is not tolerated in western sydney where immigrants make up a substantial amount of the populous.

That said, I am however surprised that the survey makes out australian numbers at 5%. As a second-generation immigrant I am interested in the study itself and more specfic questions being asked, i.e "views on immigration" "what ethnic groups do you believe are a problem, if any" "is australia at risk of losing it's national identity or do you believe immigrants make up it, etc.

I know for a fact that australian tv programming is extremely racist, or rather, the 'current affairs' news programs that are watched by older australians directly after the news. Much of the programming is related to vilifying an ethnic group, often unfoundedly.

I am missing Aruba which certainly scores 60% of undesirable immigrants (as strange as it sounds)
