The United States is in a bad state of affairs with its economy and the unemployed. There seem to be more people than jobs.Instead of raising the retirement age as some in congress are thinking.Wouldn't it be wiser to lower the age of retirement to accommadate the out of work people with some job openings? And wouldn't this also boast the economy by giving both parties, the retirees and the newly employed buy power? I know the federal unemployment extentions are coming from Social Security fund at a rate of about 32 billion per extention.I can't see how this is helping anyone in the long run. What do you think? |

The united states is in a position where we have to many people and not enough jobs and our economy is in poor shape.Shouldn't we be lowering our retirement age to accommadate the out of work people? And wouldn't this help the economy with the new workers and the new retiries in a position to buy? |
