Population control (Aguascalientes, Mexico) 15th March 2009 |
Developed countries should help Africa to lower their birth rates, since that is the region with higher birth rates on the earth and where there is bigger demographic pressure for resources. Sub-Saharian Africa still had an average of almost 5 children compared to just 2.6 in the world (excluding Africa it would be an averaged of 2.2)
Also, as American, regardless their ethnicity, have higher consumption and therefore a higher impact in ecology. US government should implement a program to help those groups like hispanics to have lower birth rates (which had on average almost 3, compared to just 2.1 of an average American and 1.9 and average non hispanic White.
If these two could've been achieved.

I am trying to find out how many babies are born each year. The only statistics I can find are births per 1000 population. So do I divide the total population by 1000 and then multiply by the number of births per 1000 population? |

Mr. Saidul Hoque, what does ''I think mean''. This is an educated forum not a gambling place. You have created doubt on this number. you must have left here sort of proof. Because you did not left any proof so we will take the figures given here. |
sowaad3997 (Hongkong) 20th January 2007 |
ohh its so horrible that Hongkong has the lowest bith rate, but why is the city still so crowded. It must be the low quality air and the small living apartments that deter people from making babies |

Hi, your site is fantastic! I didn't think that stats could be interesting. Ian Graham made a statement on 2005:03:06 with reference to population growth on the Africa:People: projected population growth(top 20 countries)site. May I use it paraphrased in a project for the Open University?
Thanks Bernie |
