This isn't income tax rate, it's income tax as a component of all tax revenue. But 29.8% would probably not be that far off the mark of the average tax rate in the UK, given the rich not only pay at a higher rate but contibute more total than the unwashed masses, shifting the weighted average up.

Stats without China, India, US or Japan should not be included in nationmaster.

How's this done? Average of all the income bands? The income tax rate in the UK for most people is 22%, not 29%
