While touring the city, she finds restaurants to go to and usually manages to fit three meals and some sort of snack or after-dinner drink into her small budget. Fast food, particularly national chain restaurants, are considered cheating (she says so explicitly in the Orlando episode). Initially, Rachael only used item prices against her $40 limit. She started including applicable taxes and tips during the first season; however, the dollar amount dedicated towards tipping her server is usually well below the American standard of 15-20%. On occasion, she does go over budget; however, during her trips to Philadelphia and Arizona, she did so on purpose. 40 Days To A Better Self (1033 words)
But as the days passed, I began to understand the power of prayer as a means of self-transformation.
Day in and day out, I was forced to examine the areas in which I needed to grow before I could truly be considered ready for marriage.
I was not aware of the 40 days part but we must have prayed there almost every day for over a month each evening.
