Episode recap Before meeting Paulie Walnuts on the boardwalk at Asbury Park, Tony flashes back to Christmas 1995 when he first discovered Pussy was acting different. When Tony asks if Paulie feels guilty about the shooting, Paulie does not regret it for a second and would do it again. When Tony brings the the topic of Pussy up at the pork store, Silvio begins having nightmares regarding Pussy. Silvio and Paulie then have to find a replacement Santa Claus for the Satriale's Christmas party since Pussy was always Santa. They decide to choose Bobby Bacala because of his weight but soon regret this when Bobby plays a terrible Santa. After a child curses at Bobby, Tony goes over to tell Bobby to be a little more cheerful. Silvio then jokingly recommends that next year Bobby is going to Santa school. Tony remembers that because Pussy missed a sit down with Uncle Junior that it was the night where the FBI interrogated him and forced him to wear a wire. Tony also comes to the conclusion that because Pussy always got dressed as Santa before coming to the party that he already had a wire on. Meanwhile Janice wants to cook Christmas dinner since she always feels guilty that she is always being served by Carmela. When Janice tells Tony that her wrist is becoming hard to manage he asks her when it started. Janice tells him that the pain began right after her encounter with the Russian mobster. Tony then adds to his list of Christmas gifts: Janice's Russian. As a favor to Tony, the boss of the Russian mob gives Tony the name of Janice's attacker and his occupation. The following evening, Tony and Furio get into a car with Igor, the Russian and beat him badly and leave him behind a Christmas mall display. The following day on the news, the reporter claims the act was made by a youth street gang. Janice sees this on the news and knows the truth. Satisfied, she adds another verse to her Christian rock song. At Nuovo Vesuvio, newly separated Charmaine Bucco has never looked better and begins to receive compliments from several mob associates. As they eat dinner, Charmaine walks over to the table where she jokes to Tony that she believes the people at the next table are FBI. Silvio becomes offended by this which Artie apologizes for. The following day, Tony meets up with Charmaine at the coat check where she tells him that she does not want him and "his boys" there all the time and that he ruined their marriage. Tony becomes angered and alerts Paulie, Silvio and Christopher that they are leaving. They then go to a new strip club where they spot Jackie Jr. getting a lap dance from a stripper. Tony then catches him and throws him into the bathroom where he warned him not to be unfaithful. On Christmas, the Sopranos open their gifts when Jackie Jr arrives with gifts from Rosalie. He then presents Meadow with a necklace which says "To M.S. from J.A.: I will always be true..." Tony just laughs at this since it is not factual. Tony then takes Jackie into the kitchen where Jackie tells him that he "flunked out" of Rutgers University. Tony knew that this would happen and reminds him that his father did not want him to enter this life. Jackie tells Tony that he still has his priorities in order and still will be supportive and loving to Meadow. Jackie then leaves to drive his mother to a nursing home to visit his grandmother. Meadow then gives Tony a Big Mouth Billy Bass which reminds him of his dream involving Pussy. Trivia - It's interesting to note that Tony's deductions about Big Pussy's betrayal timeline are probably wrong; in season two, FBI Agent Skip Lipari reminds Big Pussy that he's been working for them since 1998, not 1995 as suggested by Tony.
