The 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (11th ACR) —nicknamed the Blackhorse Regiment— is an armored cavalry regiment of the United States Army with base of operations in Fort Irwin, California. The regiment has served in the Philippine-American War, World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War. It is currently serving as an Opposing Force for the Army and National Guard task forces that train at the National Training Center.
