Discoverer J. C. Watson, 1875


150 Nuwa is a large Main belt asteroid. It is composed of primitive carbonaceous chondritic material. The surface is exceedingly dark, only about 4% of the received light is reflected back.


It was discovered by J. C. Watson on October 18, 1875 and named after Nüwa, the Chinese creator goddess.


On December 17, 1999 a star was occulted by Nuwa.
